Campaign Update: $6314 – contribute now!

60 days goes by do fast! It’s been a whirlwind campaign so far. In only 43 days we have had 65 people contribute $6314 towards my upcoming album. I can’t thank everyone who has contributed enough for your generosity and I can’t wait to be able to give you the exciting things you have pre-ordered with your contributions. If you are not one of the 65 people who have already contributed then please visit indiegogo.com/yoxon right now and choose from our list of incentives. Some of the items on the list are limited edition and will only be availble through the campaign! The money will help Mark Ferguson and myself produce an album that we have been working very hard on over the last year. I’m so excited to share it with you.

Another (and possibly more fun) way you can contribute is by buying a ticket to my fundraising concert & silent auction that will be held this Saturday, August 18th at GigSpace. You can read all about the event by clicking here. Tickets are on sale now for $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Included in the ticket price is the concert, bidding at the silent auction as well as refreshments at intermission and a pre-order copy of the new CD. Tickets may be purchased at Alcorn Music Studios at 953 Gladstone between 3 and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday or by calling 613-729-0693. You can also reserve tickets by emailing me.

The doors open at 6:30 pm for early bidding followed by the concert at 7:30 pm. Auction items have been generously donated and include two Bronze Passes to the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival (valued at $350); a family pass to the Children’s Festival ($50); a stay for two at the Lord Elgin hotel ($400); two tickets for a performance at the GCTC ($100), as well as gift certificates to numerous area restaurants and some original works of art.

Thanks again for helping out with this project. None of this would be possible without you!
