Campaign Update: $9209 – So close!

I’m happy to report that the fundraising concert that took place at GigSpace this weekend was a huge success. We completely sold out and raised over $2000 through door sales and the silent auction. I would like to take a minute to thank everyone who put their energy into this concert. The next paragraph is all thank you’s (skip to the third paragraph for more about the campaign).

Thank you so much to my event organizing team members John Jackson, and Karen Oxorn, without their tireless efforts, the concert would not have been the success that it was. Thank you also to my four volunteers Craig, Linsey, Sarah, and Rhea who spent the first set preparing food which they diligently served through the intermission. Thank you to Marilee Townsend, Mark Alcorn, and everyone at GigSpace for being so hospitable. The sound and lights were just perfect. We absolutely loved playing in your space. Also, an extra thanks to Marilee for making a poster that was so nice that both copies were taken right off the walls by the end of the night. Of course, an enormous thank you to Mark Ferguson and Joel Kerr who donated their time and skills for the greater good of the project. Their commitment to this entire thing has been unbelievable. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to every single person who attended the concert and who bid in the silent auction. Not a penny of your contributions will wasted.

All this brings up to the final few days of the campaign! The campaign closes on September 1st so we have 12 days left to raise $791. I believe this is completely do-able. I still have some offline donations that I have yet to include so you’ll see those added in a day or so. If you haven’t yet contributed or want to contribute more you can do so by clicking on the embedded indiegogo widget below:

Thanks so much for your support! This has been a truly amazing experience.
