Craig and I caught an early flight on Saturday morning and, after a quick layover in Calgary, touched down in Kelowna several hours later. We were whisked away by Craig’s family and driven to a beautiful little motel resort right across the street from the beech in Penticton.
Penticton is a beautiful town full to bursting with beeches, wineries, and fruit orchards. We got a giant ziploc bag full of cherries fresh from the tree to munch on during car rides. I wish we could have stayed longer.
On Sunday afternoon we drove back to Kelowna where we are now being put up in a beautiful condo owned by Craig’s uncle. We got to got to take a tour of the two-story penthouse in our building and it was from there that I took the first photo. I also had a really nice quiet moment in this fabulous loft space.
We’ll be heading to Victoria tomorrow where we’ll stay for two weeks. We don’t have any plans other than to squeeze in as much family time, relaxing time, and mountain-gawking time as possible. Isn’t vacation lovely?
