Just As We Are
Music by Mark Ferguson and Renée Yoxon
Lyrics by Renée Yoxon

Can we stay just as we are
Young and foolish and free
No house, no car
Just twinkling stars
I’m sure that you’ll agree
We should stay just as we are
Just you and me

Can we stay just as we are
No cares or troubles or woes
No tiny tots
No marriage knots
I think you’ll plainly see
We should stay just as we are
Just you and me

We make such a pair
We match like a new pair of shoes
Why go spoil it all with a pair of “I do’s”

Can we stay just as we are
Our love still shiny and new
No fuss, no fights
Stayin’ up all night
Whis’prin’ dreamily
We should stay just as we are
Just you and me
