highlights: brooklyn and byblos

Now that winter is fully upon us up here in Canada, it takes a lot to get me out of the house. I cloistered myself for some of the colder days last week but I did manage to get out and check out two great Montreal spots.

First, I went to Brooklyn, a café and showroom just north of Saint-Laurent on Saint-Viateur. I had some divine bread and jam and a chai latté. It was lovely to eat and drink amazing food surrounded by great art and mid century modern furniture.

Second, I returned to Byblos, a middle eastern restaurant just south of Papineau on Laurier. Whenever I go with friends we order one of everything on the breakfast menu and split it. Everyone always leaves feeling full and happy.

What did you get up to this week? Can you recommend any Montreal hot spots I should check out?

Here are some suggestions. I haven’t tried them, yet, but they look great!
