highlights: diy walker swag

Since moving to Montreal and cramming the bulk of my teaching on one or two days a week, I have found myself with a lot of free time. At first it was the cause of some anxiety, I always felt like I was supposed to be doing something. I decided this week to try and embrace my newfound free time. I did a little aquafit, cooked a few nice meals, stretched out on the couch with Netflix – all the usual me time activities. After awhile though I felt compelled to dump my craft supplies out and start personalizing my space.

I hung a few photos and started planning some home decorating DIYs, but my favourite new addition to my space is this mini accessible parking space rug for under my walker in the front hallway. I bought the rug to protect the floors from my wet wheels and thought it looked kind of like a parking space even before adding the yellow duct tape. Now it makes me laugh every time I see it. It’s so adorable!

  1. This is the rollator I want to buy for walking in parks and gardens and on beaches in BC. Yours is more urban, as are you! I like your pic!
