New things, fancy things, fun things

Hello dearies!

I hope everyone is well and your 2012 is getting off to a good start. I just wanted to share with you some fun things that are happening this new year.

First of all, in internet land, I’ve created some new sites for some of the services I’ve always offered here at As many of you know, I teach voice to many lovely students. Now my lovely students have a home page they can check out at I’m really excited about this space because I’m going to be continuously adding to student resources including books I recommend, downloadable sing-a-long exercises, and much more. If you have any suggestions please write them in the comments below.

In addition to that site I have another one that’s not quite launch-ready yet but I’m so excited that I can’t help but share it with you. Here it is! Play I Do is a wedding services run by myself and Craig Pedersen. We specialize in helping couples who want to consider issues of privilege, respectfulness, and tolerance find music for their wedding. We’re really looking forward to being a part of Wed By Hand on February 11. Click here to buy tickets to Wed By Hand.

Out in the real world, lots of fun things are happening too. First, Sheila Jordan is coming to Café Paradiso on January 20th and 21st. The show is going to be bananas. I strongly recommend to get tickets to see Sheila. They are $30 a set and you can buy them by swinging by Café Paradiso during business hours. I will be there on the Saturday night for sure, hope to see you there! If you want to keep up on all the jazz shows in this crazy city that don’t involve me, check out for a comprehensive listing.

Lastly, don’t forget that I will be playing at Café Paradiso with Megan Jerom on February 4th as part of the first annual WinterJazzFest. This is a 3-day festival being held across many different venues around Ottawa. Click here to download a pdf of the WinterJazzFest brochure so you won’t miss a single show!

That’s it for now! Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing you all at my performances throughout 2012. Please leave a comment below and say hi!
