I am living in Park Extension in Montreal and winter has just begun.

I currently have a lot of little projects on the go and with most of them I am in the knowledge inquiring and incubation stages. It may not look like I am doing much, but there is much on the horizon.

I have one semester left of my B.Mus in Jazz Performance at McGill University. I graduate in the spring. In September I will be moving to Limerick, Ireland for a year to get my MA in Songwriting at the Irish World Academy. I think this will be the greatest adventure of my life so far and I’m nervous and excited.

Creatively, I am working on developing my voice as a songwriter. I have a little band with big ambitions. We are in the process of recording a demo this year but I hope to release our first album in 2020. For the first time in my life, I’m playing the long game and it feels really right.

I am also adding continuously to my YouTube channel. That is the place to check out for the latest song demos and vlogs.

Since the summer of 2017 I have been working as a Communications Officer for the DisAbled Women’s Network of Canada. This is my first non-music job since 2010. It feels good to contribute in the fight for human rights in Canada, even in a small way.

And of course, I am still teaching regularly and my studio is growing all the time. I started a monthly newsletter for my studio where I have been sharing video clips and news stories of interest.

Just letting you know what I’ve been up to, since that’s what a /now page is for.
