“You never see more joy on someone’s face tan when they’re able to create a voice that best reflects their gender presentation”

Hi friends!

If you have had the experience of taking either my Trans Vocal Exploration e-course or Learn to Teach Trans Voice Alteration in 5 Weeks, then you probably know how great of a service Kajabi is. Kajabi is where I host my website and my e-courses, and I chose it because of how user-friendly the e-course interface was. I've taken quite a few courses on other Kajabi sites and I've always had an easy and fun time, so when I decided to make my own course, I knew that this service would be right for me.

So I was delighted when a few months ago they asked me to come on their new podcast Kajabi Edge to be interviewed about all the changes that have happened in my business over the last year.

Listen below or wherever you get your podcasts!

What I loved about doing this interview is I got to talk at length about my passion for bringing voice education to both trans and disabled folks. Over the last six months, I think my commitment to disability rights and accessibility has gotten a little lost in the shuffle and overshadowed by my trans voice work. But as Audre Lorde said, "There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we don't live single-issue lives."

In this interview, I got to highlight how running this business has allowed me to finally make the time I need to properly manage my pain - a luxury I never had as a student or at an office job or even teaching private lessons from home.

I feel extremely lucky that I've finally managed to create this functional life for myself, but I wish disabled people didn't have to literally create jobs for themselves in order to be accommodated in work.

You can read a transcript of this interview over on the Kajabi Edge website 😄

Enjoy, my pals!
