What will you learn in Trans Vocal Exploration?

Below is an outline of every module included with the e-course.

Module 1: Introduction
Before we start, you will learn about your instructor, how to download the mobile app, connect to the private discord server, find accountability buddies, and get the most as you possibly can out of this course.

Module 2: Developing Awareness
Next, you’ll open up your ears to the voices around you and inside you, as well as open up your mind to your innermost feelings about your voice. The benefit of having a private teacher is they can hear things that you can’t, but with this module, you’ll learn to hear those nuances as well.

Module 3: Warming Up
Together we’ll go through an in-depth body and voice warm up to set you up for the most success in your practice. Because I know some of you are busy bees, I’ve also included a quick 5-minute warm up!

Module 4: Vocal Anatomy
You’ll understand your own anatomy in new and exciting ways! This module includes colourful vocal anatomy illustrations

Module 5: Voice Alteration Overview
This mini-module briefly goes over the four pillars of trans voice alteration: pitch, resonance, vocal fold mass, and inflection so that you have a clear map in your mind before diving in.

Module 6: Pitch
Pillar 1: Should your voice be higher or lower? The answer might surprise you!

Module 7: Resonance
Pillar 2: You’ll learn about how to brighten or darken a fundamental pitch by modifying your vocal tract and vibrating your muscles and bones.

Module 8: Vocal Fold Mass
Pillar 3: You’ll learn how to thicken or thin your voice by controlling the adduction and abduction of your vocal tissue.

Module 9: Inflection
Pillar 4: You’ll use the previous three pillars to modify the contour and stressed words of your sentences in speech.

Module 10: How to Practice
In this final module, you will design your own practice regimen or use the included templates to help guide your practice into the far future. This module includes many strategies for practice so that you’re always engaged and always improving!
