Chronic Pain, Joyful Movement, and Running Races: My Fitness Journey with Dibs Fitness
May 28, 2025
Last year, I sat down with Dibs from Dibs Fitness for a candid conversation about chronic pain, joyful movement, and finding my way back into exercise after a long period of struggle and uncertainty. We talked about aqua fit classes, pacing myself, learning to run again, and what it’s like to train in a world that often isn’t built for disabled bodies.
This month, we recorded a follow-up interview, almost exactly a year later.
And so much has changed.
In Part 2, I share updates on my current training (yes, I’m training for races now!), how cycling has helped support my progress, and the role strength training plays in keeping me grounded. We also talk about AI fitness coaching, managing flare-ups, and what it means to set goals when your body’s needs are always changing.
Both interviews are below. Whether you’re on your own movement journey, navigating chronic pain, or just curious what I’ve been up to outside of voice training, I hope these conversations give you something to connect with.
Part 1: Learning to Move with Chronic Pain
Part 2: Racing, Resting, and Listening to My Body
